INTERFACE™ Fixation Half-pins,
Standard (cortical) Thread Profile
INTERFACE™ fixation half-pins are end-threaded pins with positive thread profiles. The threaded end has a trocar point. Pre-drilling is recommended for optimum placement. Small, medium, and large are based on the KE standard of 3/32”, 1/8”, and 5/32” shanks respectively. Standard thread profile pins can be utilized at all locations and is the most popular and versatile version. Standard length versions are most popular, but extended length versions are useful when additional thread length is needed to span areas of larger bone diameter. IMEX™ INTERFACE™ fixation pins do not feature the thread profile of a bone screw, but are designed with the unique environmental and mechanical differences between a bone screw and ESF pin being taken into design consideration.
All INTERFACE™ fixation half-pins are produced from the highest quality, implant grade 316LVM stainless steel.
All can be utilized with acrylic or epoxy frames.
All sizes can be accommodated with the SK™ ESF System.
15020 (2.0mm shank) is the largest pin recommended for the MINI SK™ ESF Clamp. 15020 (2.0mm shank) and 15030 (3.0mm shank) are particularly advantageous with European fixator systems that utilize 2.0mm and 3.0mm fixation pins.
