TR Matrix™ - Advanced Veterinary BioScaffold Unlike other biological and collagen-based scaffolds, the unique open polar configuration of TR Matrix™ exposes an “instruction manual” of natural amino acid sequences critical for regenerative wound healing. Host cells bind to TR Matrix™ and recognize these amino acid sequences resulting in activation of physiologic tissue repair. Uses include treatment and repair of fractures, bone defects, delayed unions, osteotomies, non-unions, and arthrodeses. Available as a vial of 1 gram, shelf-stable, lyophilized powder.
1.3mm Stopper Wire Part No. 2.40003 This 1.3mm stopper wire diameter falls between the current 1.0mm (mini) and 1.6mm (standard) stopper wire diameters; providing the surgeon an opportunity to customize wire size to the demands of the case. This new choice is useful in both hybrid ESF and CESF frames. Implant quality 316LVM stainless steel.
2.7mm Toggle Pin Part No. 55027 This new toggle pin size has been requested by surgeons having success with the toggle pin method of coxofemoral luxation repair. Being smaller than the current IMEX™ toggle pins (3.2mm and 4.0mm diameters), the toggle pin method can now be readily performed in smaller patients. Approximately 10mm in length with a 1.1mm cross hole. Implant quality 316LVM stainless steel.
Multi-Purpose Orthopedic Washers Part No. 57232, 57240, 57247 Originally designed for use with IMEX™ trans-ilial rods and nuts, multi-purpose orthopedic washers can also be used with standard bone screws. When using trans-ilial rods to augment repair of sacro-iliac luxations or pelvic fractures, these washers are designed for placement between the bone and trans-ilial nut to increase surface area; preventing compression into soft bone. Implant quality 316LVM stainless steel.

D2 Rings D2 rings feature a dual hole pattern. These rings are useful for a variety of hybrid frames and one may be included in some true circular frames. The inner diameter and inside hole pattern are the same as standard full rings. The outer hole pattern features many choices for maximum flexibility and is not compatible with the IMEX™ hybrid adapter. Spacing between hole patterns allows addition of wire fixation bolts, hinges or other hardware at an otherwise unavailable position.
Miniature IMEX™ Stick-pins Over the years, many customers have used IMEX™ miniature INTERFACE™ fixation half-pins for a variety of non-external fixation purposes when a k-wire sized implant with a short threaded portion is what the surgeon really desires. Such applications are often in small dogs, cats, avian, and exotic patients and include: tibial crest translocations, capital physeal fractures and avulsion fractures of the greater trochanter. These applications often involve bending the pin over as in tension band applications. When miniature INTERFACE™ pins are bent acutely at their roughened shaft area they may break. Stick-pins are nearly identical to miniature INTERFACE™ pins but do not include the roughened shaft that enhances grip to acrylic and epoxies, and are not prone to failure when bent acutely at the smooth portion of the pin.
ESF Pin Caps Autoclavable pin caps protect IM and ESF pin points during autoclave and storage. In addition, cut ends of external fixation pins or IM pin tie-ins can be covered; providing protection for owners and patients during bandage changes. Pin caps are available in four sizes and accommodate 5/64”, 3/32”, 7/64”, 1/8”, 9/64”, 5/32” and 3/16” pin diameters. Color coding offers easy identification and selection.
Mini Slotted/Cannulated Wire Fixation Bolt Part No. 4.30001 Bolt is slotted on each side and cannulated, providing three different points to capture and anchor fixation wires to rings. Designed to grip pins and wires from 0.8mm - 1.6mm with 0.8 - 1.4mm being optimum. Required with new 45mm mini rings and optional with 35mm mini rings. Stainless steel with 4mm thread and 7mm wrench flats.
Mini Slotted Wire Fixation Washer Part No. 4.30005 Allows capture of fixation wires to rings (or rods) at locations otherwise occupied by supporting elements. Also utilized for drop wire technique. Can be pre-placed in several locations for optimal freedom. Designed to grip pins and wires from 0.8mm - 1.6mm with 0.8mm - 1.4mm being optimum. Multiple slots ensure washer is always in position for ease of use.
Mini One-Hole Post Part No. 4.70005 Mounts to ring to support additional wires, half-pins, and other fixation elements. Commonly used in many free form circular frames and in hybrid frame applications. Stainless steel.
Mini Angular Hinge Assembly Part No. 4.60001 Can bolt to mini (CESF) rings to create strut and supports for hybrid frames. Also accepts mini hybrid rods in each end to create mini transarticular linear ESF device.
45mm x 2.4mm Mini Full Ring Part No. 4.14501 Expands capability of IMEX™ mini CESF frame to include patients larger than appropriate for 35mm rings. Multiple hole design requires use of slotted/cannulated wire fixation bolts (part no. 4.30001).
45mm x 2.4mm Mini Stretch Ring Part No. 4.14504 Expands capability of IMEX™ mini CESF system. Popular around hock and elbow to allow range of motion without a larger ring diameter being used. Multiple hole design requires use of slotted/cannulated wire fixation bolts (part no. 4.30001).
IMEX™ StickTite™ 6.2mm Drill Bit Part No. 32062 The IMEX™ StickTite™ premium drill bit is now offered in a 6.2mm diameter. StickTite™ drill bits feature a special point geometry designed to engage the periosteum and prevent drill bits from “walking” or skidding at the beginning of the drilling process. This point geometry is especially beneficial when hole placement is critical and with freehand drilling applications. Compared to other drill bits, StickTite™ bits are much easier to start and drill accurately when not drilling perpendicular to the bone.
