DuraFace® ESF Half-pins
DuraFace® half-pins represent the latest in ESF pin technology without an increase in pin cost.
DuraFace® NP (No-Point) fixation half-pins lack the sharp trocar point found on standard fixation pins which reduces opportunity for morbidity created by a point remaining in soft tissue. This blunted trocar pin is safer for the operating surgeon and costs less than traditional sharp trocar half-pins. Lengths, diameters, and recommended drill bits are common with standard DuraFace® half-pins. IMEX™ pin and drill charts can be used for trocar and NP style pins.
DuraFace® fixation half-pins represent a tremendous breakthrough in veterinary external fixation pin performance. TRO™ (Tapered Run Out) technology provides increased stiffness, strength and durability as compared to traditional positive profile ESF pins. (U.S. Patent Pending)
DuraFace® short half-pins are designed with a reduced thread length to keep the TRO (tapered-run-out), thread/shaft junction closer to the bone – maximizing the power of DuraFace® pins when applied to shallow bone locations. Only available in no-point (NP) versions.
