SK™ Hybrid ESF Connecting Rods
IMEX™ was the first company to promote veterinary use of hybrid ESF frames. The development of SK™ hybrid rods allowed surgeons using IMEX™ SK™ linear equipment to readily create modular hybrid frames using IMEX™ circular ESF components and IMEX™ SK™ linear clamps. SK™ hybrid rods are available in three sizes based on the corresponding SK™ clamp being selected. Mini SK™ hybrid rods function with mini hybrid components while small and large SK™ rods function with standard size hybrid components.
Mini SK™ Hybrid Rods
Mini SK™ hybrid rods are the primary link between mini SK™ linear components and the IMEX™ mini CESF/hybrid ESF system and feature 1/8” (3.2mm) shaft with 4mm threads.
Small SK™ Hybrid Rods
Small SK™ hybrid rods are the primary link between small SK™ linear components and standard CESF/hybrid ESF components. These rods feature a 6.3mm smooth shaft for small SK™ ESF clamps and a 6mm threaded portion.
Large SK™ Hybrid Rods
Large SK™ hybrid rods are the primary link between large SK™ linear components and standard (6mm) CESF/hybrid ESF components. These rods feature a 9.5mm smooth shaft with 6mm threads. Large hybrid rods are rarely used and are only called for when the standard pins being used must be larger than medium. It is not recommended to routinely keep large hybrid rods available.
