TPLO Support Products
IMEX™ does not produce TPLO plates or instruments, but continues to offer a number of items our customers frequently use when performing TPLO surgery for repair of cruciate deficient stifles. Some items are external fixation pins that have become more popular as jig pins when performing TPLO surgery. Other items were developed working with customers in order to enhance their work.
Mini TPLO Jig
This mini TPLO jig provides the reduction in size and weight needed to perform accurate osteotomies in small patients where mini TPLO plates are used; a must for surgeons performing TPLOs on small and toy breeds.
SCAT™ Fixation Half-pins
Similar in design to the Ellis™ pin (Kirschner Medical) and originally developed as a single-cortex, negative thread profile pin for external skeletal fixation, SCAT™ pins are more commonly used as temporary jig fixation pins when performing TPLO surgery.
TPLO Reduction Pins
TPLO reduction pins are designed for use as temporary osteotomy reduction pins during application of TPLO plates. These pins feature a long threaded length and a single trocar point on the threaded end.
TPLO Saw Blade Adapter
This TPLO Saw Blade Adapter is designed to couple Synthes® TPLO saw blades to Stryker®-type saws. Our adapter allows you to secure a Synthes® TPLO saw blade in the preferred Slocum method of mounting the blade on the long axis of the saw.
IMEX™ customers report satisfaction with performance of the Synthes® saw blade but prefer using it as described by Slocum.
