2.7mm Suture Anchors and Driver
Developed with a new elliptical head design and applied with a durable slotted driver, surgeons can position the suture of choice before driving the anchor. Available in a threaded length of 9.0mm, the self-tapping 2.7mm anchor is best applied by pre-drilling with a 2.0mm StickTite™ drill bit.
The 1.3mm cross-hole accepts most brands of 40# suture.
| Surgeons using large diameter braided suture materials may find that the application of bone wax to frayed ends of braided suture material may simplify passing suture material through the hole of a bone anchor. Pre-drilling is recommended in most applications. In very soft metaphyseal bone the surgeon may opt to only pre-drill a minimum depth just to penetrate the cortical bone shell. The 2.7mm suture anchor’s drive-head is approximately 2.4mm in height and elliptical to fit a slotted driver design built for retaining suture prior to application. Driver is stainless steel with slotted design on a synthetic handle. |
