Lack of a trocar point makes this pin less expensive than trocar pointed CENTERFACE® pins, and potential for injury to the surgeon or patient during pin placement is reduced. Lengths, diameters, and recommended drill bits are common with standard CENTERFACE® pins. IMEX™ pin and drill charts can be used for trocar and no point (NP) versions
When pre-drilling for centrally threaded pins, this should be the pin of choice.
